Assistant Nurse Manager - Neonatal ICU

About the Role

This position involves managing neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) nursing staff, overseeing patient care, equipment, and departmental operations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, hire, train, evaluate staff, and develop professional growth plans.
• Manage staffing, budget adherence, and respond to operational changes.
• Coordinate and deliver patient care tailored to neonates' developmental needs, ensuring accurate documentation.
• Create and implement collaborative care plans based on assessments and treatments.
• Oversee staff scheduling, payroll, communications, and performance reviews.
• Ensure staff productivity aligns with departmental goals and conduct performance evaluations.

Requirements

• RN license with a Nursing Diploma or Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2-5 years of nursing experience; less than 2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Must be able to work night shifts, including a weekly 12-hour night shift, and participate in on-call rotations for weekends and holidays.
