Assistant Nurse Manager - Neonatal ICU

Role Overview

This position involves managing neonatal ICU nursing staff, coordinating patient care, and ensuring departmental operational goals are met.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and evaluate staff, including hiring, training, assigning work, conducting performance reviews, and managing professional development.
• Develop and adhere to staffing, revenue, and expense budgets, responding to business needs.
• Oversee patient care, creating collaborative treatment plans tailored to age and developmental needs, while documenting according to policy.
• Manage staff productivity, handle scheduling, overtime, payroll updates, and staff communications.
• Ensure staff adherence to performance standards, conduct performance evaluations, and implement corrective actions as needed.

Qualifications & Skills

• RN license required, with a nursing diploma or associate's degree; bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2-5 years of RN experience, with less than 2 years of supervisory experience; 5-10 years of experience preferred for higher qualifications.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills are essential.

Schedule

• Flexibility for night shifts, including one 12-hour night shift weekly.
• On-call weekends and holidays required.
• Direct reports management.
