About the role

This position involves supporting the Nurse Manager in a 42-bed Medical Intensive Care Unit by overseeing daily operations, clinical care, staff development, and maintaining high patient care standards. The Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) serves as a mentor, resource, and clinical leader, fostering a positive, collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage staff including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and professional development.
• Assist in staffing, budget adherence, and operational goals.
• Ensure delivery of patient care aligned with assessment, diagnosis, and treatment plans.
• Coordinate staff scheduling, payroll, and disciplinary actions.
• Lead performance reviews, staff productivity, and departmental objectives.
• Maintain compliance with safety standards and hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and RN licensure.
• 2+ years RN experience; leadership experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• ICU experience is preferred.
