About the Role
The Clinical Nurse Educator oversees patient care, clinical staff, and unit operations to ensure high-quality, cost-effective, patient- and family-centered care.
Responsibilities
- Supervises nursing and non-licensed staff
- Manages resources, quality improvement initiatives, payroll, scheduling, and patient throughput
- Ensures a safe, therapeutic environment
- Collaborates with leadership to uphold standards of excellence and professional development
- Participates in or leads performance improvement efforts
Requirements
- BSN or must obtain within 3 years if already employed
- At least 2 years of nursing experience
- CT RN licensure
- BLS certification from AHA
Skills & Abilities
- Knowledge of nursing principles, healthcare administration, and regulatory requirements
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, leadership, and conflict management skills
- Familiarity with HRO and LEAN strategies
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently or collaboratively, and problem-solve
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
