About the Role

The Clinical Nurse Educator oversees patient care, clinical staff, and unit operations to ensure high-quality, cost-effective, patient- and family-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Supervises nursing and non-licensed staff
• Manages resources, quality improvement initiatives, payroll, scheduling, and patient throughput
• Ensures a safe, therapeutic environment
• Collaborates with leadership to uphold standards of excellence and professional development
• Participates in or leads performance improvement efforts

Requirements

• BSN or must obtain within 3 years if already employed
• At least 2 years of nursing experience
• CT RN licensure
• BLS certification from AHA

Skills & Abilities

• Knowledge of nursing principles, healthcare administration, and regulatory requirements
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, leadership, and conflict management skills
• Familiarity with HRO and LEAN strategies
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently or collaboratively, and problem-solve
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
