Responsibilities
- Direct Supervision of Ski and Snowboard instructors
- Assign daily tasks and make all lesson assignments for instructors scheduled to your work area each day
- Report instructor lesson work for Payroll and approve submitted timecards daily
- Mentoring, observing, coaching, delivering feedback and evaluations of instructors
- Understand, lead and model safety standards within the department
- Be proactive to provide superior guest service at all times (internal and external)
- Holds staff to consistent standards set for accountability with company and departmental policies & procedures
- Build a working knowledge of RPOS, Pro Connect, Lesson Connect, including specific Ski School Tools and Report Modules
- Monitor and adjust staffing levels at the direction of the Location Manager and Sr. Manager
- Lead special activities, and maintain facilities, assist in training as assigned or needed
- Any other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of one year working in a Ski & Ride School
- Current PSIA/AASI Level 1 certification or equivalent foreign certification
- Microsoft Office proficiency
- Fluent in all aspects of the English language
- Advanced to expert level skiing/ snowboarding skills
- Must be able to work in a high alpine environment
- Must have excellent guest service and communication skills
- Must work well in a team
- Must be able to work flexible schedule including weekends, nights, weekdays, evenings, & holidays
Preferred Skills
- Current PSIA/AASI Level 2 or 3 certification or equivalent foreign certification
- RPOS, Guest Connect, Lesson Connect experience
- Minimum 1 Year Leadership Experience
- College degree/ experience in a relevant field
Physical Requirements
- Able to withstand lengthy exposure to cold and inclement weather
- Able to sit at computer for extended periods of time
- Physical strength and ability to respond appropriately to emergency and other unplanned situations
Pay
The expected pay range is $52,000.00 – $65,433.00. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
