About the role
The Assistant Manager of Building Maintenance plays a crucial role in managing the resort's base area operations, including groundskeeping, parking, transportation, and snow removal. This position supports the Senior Manager of Base Area Operations and the Manager of Building Maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Senior Manager of Base Area Operations and the Manager of Building Maintenance to support all facets of Base Area and facility maintenance operations.
- Lead and supervise the Base Area Operations team during both summer and winter seasons.
- Promote and participate in maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.
- Aid in hiring, onboarding, and training staff.
- Create and manage employee schedules to ensure proper coverage and efficiency.
- Manage departmental budgeting and monitor financial performance.
- Communicate daily operational plans clearly and adapt to changing priorities or conditions.
- Oversee summer operations, including groundskeeping, lawn care, weeding, gardening, and parking lot maintenance.
- Oversee winter operations, including parking, snow removal, and guest/employee transportation.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support Base Area Operations.
Requirements
- High School Knowledge of resort area operations and grounds work
- One year experience leading a team
- Valid U.S. Driver’s License
- Microsoft Office, Internet, ability to adapt to changing workplace programs
- Ability to communicate in English
- Able to operate equipment
- Leadership aptitude
- Must be able to work weekends & holidays

- Starting Wage: $58,461.98 - $77,126.78
