Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (foreign equivalent or higher).
- In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, four (4) years of full-time directly related experience in facilities management or a related field, or a combination of higher education and experience totaling four (4) years may be considered.
- Two (2) years of directly related full-time professional experience in facilities management or a related field.
- Experience with structural trades and/or building operations.
- Supervisory experience.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (foreign equivalent or higher) in Facilities Management or related field.
- Additional years (3+) of directly related full-time professional experience in facilities management or a related field.
- Experience in custodial services/housekeeping management.
- Supervisory experience.
- Certified or licensed in building trades, building safety systems, building operations, and/or facilities management.
- Experience at a University or similar conference center facility.
Brief Description Of Duties
- Support the Building Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the Charles B. Wang Center.
- Manage custodial services, ensuring compliance with cleanliness standards and conducting regular inspections and audits.
- Aid in event support by overseeing setup, takedown, and logistics for internal and external events.
- Coordinate with vendors for event-related equipment and furniture deliveries and manage resources such as tables, chairs, easels, etc.
- Assist in overseeing the maintenance contract for the indoor and outdoor ponds at the Wang Center.
- Maintain safety and security protocols throughout the Wang Center and surrounding areas.
- Prepare daily logs and reports on facility usage, event operations, and any incidents.
- Manage the opening and closing of the facility as needed, including during holidays and staff absences.
- Engage in training and development initiatives for custodial staff, including student workers.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned to align with the departmental mission and goals.
