About the role

The Take 5 Family is hiring customer service maniacs! If you’re a people person who enjoys leading a team and brings an outgoing and positive attitude, we will train you the Take 5 way. Training covers oil changes, replacing wiper blades and air filters, filling tires, other light maintenance services, and how to oversee a shop. Employees with all backgrounds and experience levels are welcome. Take 5 offers a stay-in-your-car hassle-free oil change experience, and the job is similar to restaurant or retail environments.

Responsibilities

• Check in with customers before they leave the shop to ensure a great experience.
• Assume the responsibility and authority of the Shop Manager in the Shop Manager’s absence.
• Run the floor: ensure each employee is in the right place, every vehicle is checked, and every customer is satisfied before they leave.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Assist with counting and adjusting inventory.
• Train and develop subordinates.
• Serve as a role model to other employees in the shop.
• Hold team members accountable.
• Perform all technician duties, including:
  • Drain motor oil and change oil filters
  • Grease chassis fittings
  • Wash windshields and adjust tire pressure
  • Inspect and top off fluids
  • Assist customers in selecting oil type and other services
  • Process payments for services performed
  • Perform coolant exchanges and transmission drain & fill services
  • Restock and maintain inventory levels on the floor
  • Maintain shop, office, and bathroom cleanliness

Requirements

• Must maneuver in and out of a shallow 3’ deep pit used to position yourself safely under cars.
• Must walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, etc. for extended periods and perform activities involving holding, grasping, pulling, and turning.
• May need to work in hot/cold weather conditions.
• Must always be alert and aware of surroundings.
• Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds.
• Need to have reliable transportation.
