Assistant Manager

About the role

The Take 5 Family is hiring Assistant Shop Managers who can lead a team and provide exceptional customer service. This position offers a pathway to becoming a Shop Manager and the opportunity to work in a family-friendly environment.

Responsibilities

• Check in with customers before they leave the shop to ensure they had a great experience.
• Assume the responsibility and authority of the Shop Manager in the Shop Manager's absence.
• Running the floor (making sure each employee is where they need to be, ensuring everything has been checked on each vehicle, and every customer is satisfied before they leave).
• Performing opening and closing procedures.
• Aiding in counting and adjusting inventory.
• Training and developing subordinates.
• Being a role model to the other employees in the shop.
• Holding team members accountable.
• Performing all technician duties including but not limited to: draining motor oil, changing oil filter, greasing chassis fittings, washing windshields and adjusting tire pressure, inspecting and topping off fluids, assisting customers in selecting oil type and other services, processing payment for services performed, performing coolant exchanges and transmission drain & fill services, restocking and maintaining inventory levels on the floor, maintaining shop, office, and bathroom cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Outgoing and positive attitude.
• Successful with all backgrounds and experience levels.
• Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds.
• Must maneuver in and out of a shallow 3' deep pit used to position yourself safely under cars.
• Walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, etc. for extended periods of time and perform activities involving holding, grasping, pulling and turning.
• Work in hot/cold weather conditions.
• Be alert and aware of your surroundings.
• Have reliable transportation.
