Assistant Manager

About the role

Taco John's International is seeking a full-time Assistant Manager to lead their food service operations. The position offers a competitive hourly rate of $18.00-$21.00 per hour, along with various benefits including a 401(k) with match, medical, dental, vision, short- and long-term disability, free/discounted food, tuition reimbursement, paid time off (PTO), free uniforms, and life insurance. Quarterly bonuses are also provided.

Responsibilities

• Assume responsibility for the operation in absence of the General Manager
• Direct team members to accomplish goals and objectives
• Prepare and oversee food preparation
• Ensure proper training and adherence to policies and procedures
• Count cash from registers and safe
• Manage inventory and place orders as needed
• Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of the restaurant
• Aid in the hiring process, review applications, conduct interviews, on-board new employees, and train
• Coach and develop team members
• Check timecards for accuracy within labor parameters

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old
• High school diploma or GED
• At least 6 months of restaurant experience as a Shift manager or assistant manager
• Valid Driver’s License
• ServSafe® or Prometric/NEHA Certification
• Excellent customer service skills
• Attention to detail and motivation to find solutions
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
• Enthusiastic and energetic personality
• Experience in fast food is preferred, but not required
• A college degree is a plus

Work schedule

This position is full-time and typically works 5 days per week with shifts varying based on business needs.
