Assistant Manager

About the role

Panda Express is seeking experienced leaders to join the store management team. Associates receive paid Store Management Leadership Training, mentorship, and support from the Panda community to help ensure success.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the operation of a single store, including hiring, managing, and directing associates.
• Drive the achievement of financial goals.
• Ensure delivery of exceptional guest experiences.
• Complete a three‑week (or longer) store leadership training program.

Requirements

• High school diploma required.
• Willingness to relocate to a store within a 50‑mile radius of home.
• Availability for a flexible schedule that generally includes opening and closing shifts, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Food Safety: Serve Safe certification.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lb., stand for up to four hours, and reach across counters 36 inches high.
• Ability to work in a hot, noisy, fast‑paced kitchen environment and handle kitchen equipment safely.
• Effective verbal communication, adaptability to changing priorities, and conflict‑management skills.

Schedule

The position requires a flexible schedule that may include opening and closing shifts, evenings, weekends, and holidays, driven by business needs.
