About the role
A typical workday involves ensuring the store runs smoothly and your team provides exceptional customer service. As acting manager, you’ll meet overall goals, maintain corporate standards, and motivate your team to excel.
Responsibilities
- Sales
- Optimize store performance and profitability with support from your management team.
- Train team members in sales techniques and product knowledge.
- Analyze sales results and develop innovative solutions to improve them.
- Schedule employees based on performance to manage payroll cost-effectively.
- Communicate sales goals to your team to meet and exceed targets.
- Provide customers with a warm welcome, answer questions, and explain product features (quality, materials, technical details).
- Coordinate tasks with the management team to ensure smooth operations.
- Human Resources
- Mobilize your team and create a positive work environment that fosters excellence and pride in the brand.
- Bring the company’s vision, mission, and brand culture to life and share them with your team.
- Demonstrate leadership and act as an inspiring role model.
- Recruit, prepare, and train the next generation of employees.
- Plan work schedules, manage absences/lateness, and participate in performance evaluations.
- Schedule team members based on performance and in-store traffic.
- Marketing and Visual Presentation
- Master product knowledge, including technical features.
- Create an attractive and inviting store based on planograms.
- Stay updated on market trends and competitor activities.
- Build a loyal customer base by showcasing the brand image and fostering relationships.
- Assist with planning incoming orders and setting up visual displays efficiently.
- Maintain the look and cleanliness of the store and backstore.
- Collaborate with mall administration.
- Administration
- Analyze reports to optimize productivity and sales.
- Open and close the store.
- Manage controllable expenses efficiently.
- Respect and apply head office policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as needed to support the team.

Pay
Annual salary: $40,000 - $50,000.
