Assistant Manager

About the role

Our Assistant Managers help run the restaurant, support the General Manager, and keep the operation sharp and energized. You lead the team, make key decisions, and help deliver fast, fresh, consistent experiences for every guest.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift execution and support the GM in daily operations
• Coach, train, and develop Shift Managers & Crew
• Drive Wendy’s standards for food safety, speed, accuracy, and hospitality
• Handle guest concerns professionally and confidently
• Manage labor, food cost, inventory levels, and waste controls
• Oversee opening & closing procedures and daily read-outs
• Maintain a clean, compliant restaurant at all times
• Support hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and performance reviews
• Plan ahead for peak hours and keep the team ready
• Help drive sales, build guest loyalty, and improve key metrics

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as an Assistant Manager in QSR (preferably Wendy’s or another fast-food restaurant)
• Strong communicator with a positive leadership style
• Reliable, punctual, coachable, and ready to grow
• Able to solve problems quickly and stay calm under pressure
• Comfortable leading a team during rushes and peak business
• Excited about growth, development, and taking on more responsibility
