About the role

The Assistant Kitchen Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the Kitchen Manager in managing the kitchen operations. They are responsible for ensuring that all food preparation processes are efficient and meet high standards.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the Kitchen Manager in overseeing daily kitchen operations.
  • Ensures adherence to food safety and quality standards.
  • Manages inventory levels and procurement processes.
  • Coordinates with other departments to ensure smooth service flow.
  • Assists in training new kitchen staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Food Service, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Proven ability to manage kitchen operations effectively.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with food safety regulations and compliance.

Qualifications

  • Valid food handler’s license.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings.
