Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking ticket times, and presentation.
• Leading team on the line during shift volume with focus on quality and speed.
• Interview, train, and supervise staff providing feedback on performance.
• Ensure that each new hire is trained according to El Encanto Training Procedures.
• Hold self and team accountable to follow all safety and quality standards.
• Manage inventory and control food costs by monitoring portion sizes and minimizing waste.
• Manage back of house labor costs effectively including event labor costs.

Requirements

• Experience leading a kitchen or equivalent experience.
• Knowledgeable of all prep items and able to work all line stations.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage inventory and control food costs.
• Passionate about creating an authentic Mexican culinary experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Food safety certification preferred.

Pay

$48,000 - $55,000 per year.

Schedule

El Encanto is closed on several major holidays including Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Day, and Superbowl Sunday. Paid vacation is available.
