Job Overview

The key function of the Assistant Gym Manager will be to help the Gym Manager run the day-to-day operations of the club. The Assistant Gym Manager will be an active participant of the team and will play a key part in creating a great place to work – and workout – for the team throughout the entire gym & the members of PureGym.

Responsibilities

This is a full-time position, involved with everything from member experience to team development, you will support the Gym Manager in the following:

• Deliver an excellent member experience in the club through a constant focus on service and standards, alongside the Gym Manager
• Assist the Gym Manager in recruitment of Personal Trainers and Gym Floor Associates and work with the Gym Manager to help onboard all new team members
• Interview, hire and develop all new members of the team to ensure they have a great onboarding experience
• Maintain our levels for cleanliness and organization of all areas in the gym
• Ensure the safety of Members, Guests and Team at all times

Requirements

• Proven leadership ability in a fitness, leisure, hospitality or retail setting
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Enthusiastic, energetic, friendly and personable
• Passionate, intelligent and knowledgeable regarding the fitness industry
• Ability to successfully obtain CPR/AED certification within 30 days of hire
