Assistant General Manager Social, Golf

About the role

As the Assistant General Manager - Social, you will work hand in hand with the GM - Social to deliver the fun, memorable experiences that define Five Iron Golf. You’ll coach staff to provide exceptional service and genuine, enlightened hospitality, ensuring every guest leaves eager to share their experience with family and friends.

Responsibilities

• Drive revenue in Simulator Rentals, Food and Beverage Sales, and League sales
• Participate in the recruitment, hiring, and training of all staff
• Manage the onboarding and continued education of new hires
• Actively evaluate employee performance to meet day-to-day business needs
• Oversee all operations of the social side of the business, including leagues, simulator rental experience, event execution, facilities maintenance, food & beverage service, and social staff scheduling
• Set and manage above-and-beyond service standards for all staff
• Maintain extensive knowledge of all products, business lines, and promotions
• Understand the P&L of the location and support efficient operation by monitoring and reducing labor and other operating costs
• Assist in building relationships within the community and engaging in local marketing efforts
• Take pride and ownership of each guest’s enjoyment and fun at Five Iron Golf

Requirements

• 5+ years of hospitality management experience with at least 1 recent year as Assistant General Manager or General Manager
• Strong leadership ability and willingness to lead by example
• Exemplary communication, time management, and organization skills
• Upbeat energy, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude
• Ability to think on your feet and manage customer expectations
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Availability to be present in the space on evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to stand, walk, and bend for long periods of time and maneuver up and down stairs
• Ability to obtain proper licensing and certifications for the location

Pay

$65K–72K/yr + bonus potential of up to $10K (location dependent)
