Ensure the delivery of exceptional guest services by overseeing key operational areas such as the front office, reservations, guest registration, bell services, telephone operations, and guest accounting. This role upholds established operational standards while optimizing hotel profitability.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead Front Desk and supporting departments (reservations, bell services, telephone operations, guest accounting).
- Leadership duties: hiring, terminating, performance evaluations, training, and development.
- Schedule staff according to labor standards and forecasted occupancy.
- Maintain department daily/weekly payroll.
- Maintain standards of guest service quality.
- Contribute to the profitability and guest satisfaction perception of other hotel departments.
- Increase guest satisfaction through associate development, job engineering, and quality image.
- Achieve budgeted revenues and expenses; maximize profitability related to the guest services department.
- Develop short-term and long-term financial and operational plans for the guest service department aligned with hotel objectives.
- Participate in the preparation of the annual hotel budget.
- Manage the reservation function to maintain highest possible room occupancy and average daily rate through suggestive selling.
- Maintain procedures for credit control, financial transactions, security of monies, guest security, and emergency procedures.
- Receive and address department-related guest complaints; ensure corrective action is taken.
- Ensure staff uses guest interaction skills; reward employees who meet or exceed guest expectations.
- Other duties as assigned by leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Hotel Administration, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in night audit, 2 years in front desk operations, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Successful completion of a background check prior to employment.
Pay
$50,000.00 annually.
