Essential Job Functions
- Co-Lead with Construction Foreman to delegate tasks to construction workers and sub-contractors.
- Building experience such as a foreman.
- Training of laborers to ensure the best skills are applied by each worker and ensure installation requirements are followed accurately and efficiently.
- Ensure safe work practices are always followed.
- Ensure safe housekeeping practices are always followed.
- Absorb and direct workers on assigned tasks.
- Verify accuracy and compliance of tasks in progress to comply with codes, project specifications and manufacturer requirements.
- Create and maintain positive working relationships with crew members, vendors, suppliers, and sub-contractors to maintain a timely flow of supplies, materials, and sub-contractor work.
- Work with concrete, framing, pouring, mixing, and finishing.
- Must be able to operate heavy equipment to excavate ditches, tank holes and install equipment.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ experience with petroleum construction.
- Equipment operation experience with operating Skid-Steer Loaders, Excavators, and Backhoes.
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
- Requires the ability to acquire state specific AST/UST certifications.
- Strong communication skills.
- Overtime possible; occasional out of town jobs.
- Must successfully complete pre-employment testing to include but not limited to: skills testing and pre-employment background checks as well as drug/alcohol testing.
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License (CDL A preferred but not required).
- Must be able to pass a DOT physical.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to work outside during all types of weather.
Physical Requirements
- Must Be Able To: Walk and work on uneven terrain, including pea gravel and excavations.
- Climb in and out of equipment safely.
- Pull and break pipes loose as needed.
- Wear and properly use fall protection equipment.
- Enter confined spaces to perform tasks (when trained and authorized).
- Pass a DOT physical.
- Work outdoors in both hot and cold environments.
- Pass a respirator fit test and medical evaluation when required.
- Drive safely for extended periods while maintaining focus.
- Work in prone positions (on stomach) to access underground equipment for extended periods.
Schedule
6:00am-4:00pm Monday-Friday
Overtime possible
Occasional out of town jobs requiring over-night stay
