The Vanderbilt, Auberge Collection is a storied 33-room luxury resort in downtown Newport, originally built in 1908 as a mansion. As the culinary orchestrator, you will combine a passion for gastronomy with strategic management to ensure unparalleled dining experiences. You will oversee day-to-day food and beverage operations, coordinate between kitchen and front-of-house staff, maintain high service standards, and address guest concerns to guarantee satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Oversee seamless coordination between kitchen and front-of-house staff to maintain high service standards.
- Train, mentor, and motivate the food and beverage team to foster excellence, professionalism, and teamwork.
- Manage inventory, monitor stock rotation, and implement cost-control measures to optimize resources and minimize waste.
- Actively engage with guests to gather feedback and continuously improve service quality.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal health and safety regulations.
- Complete administrative tasks, including reporting, budgeting, and project management.
Requirements
- Three or more years of experience in a similar capacity at a top restaurant group or luxury hotel.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, based on operational needs.
