Assistant Director of Nursing ADON

Duties & Responsibilities

• Makes sure the facility stays compliant with Medicare/Medicaid requirements and reports any issues.
• Communicates regularly with residents and their families to keep them updated on their care.
• Ensures high-quality nursing care by overseeing proper procedures, offering feedback, and participating in performance reviews.
• Fulfills The Lodge’s long-term care philosophy and maintains certification by following professional standards and regulations.
• Uses an Electronic Medical Record system and works with the infection control preventionist to implement antibiotic stewardship and infection control guidelines.
• Updates knowledge on regulatory requirements and clinical practices to ensure compliance.
• Supports resident and staff well-being by coordinating care transitions and attending discharge planning meetings.

Qualifications

• At least one year of supervisory experience in long-term care.
• Caring and compassionate nature.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work flexible hours.
• Strong motivation skills to lead and support nursing staff.
