Responsibilities
- Aid the Director of Nursing (DON) in overseeing daily nursing operations.
- Maintain compliance with all federal, state, local, and facility regulations.
- Conduct daily clinical rounds and monitor resident care.
- Review nursing documentation for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Participate in Quality Assurance (QA) and Performance Improvement initiatives.
- Implement corrective action plans when necessary.
Staff Leadership
- Help maintain appropriate RN, LPN, and CNA staffing levels.
- Assist with employee evaluations, coaching, and performance management.
- Mentor Charge Nurses and nursing staff.
- Cookordinate and facilitate staff education and in-service training.
Resident Care
- Participate in resident assessments and interdisciplinary care planning.
- Coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Communicate with physicians, residents, and family members regarding changes in condition and care plans.
- Investigate concerns and ensure resident rights, dignity, privacy, and safety are always maintained.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience as an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) or Unit Manager required.
- Previous Long-Term Care (LTC) or Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) experience preferred.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Knowledge of rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices.
- Ability to provide direct clinical care when needed.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure while leading a multidisciplinary team.
