Your Job Summary
The Assistant Director of Nursing will support and manage Nursing Services, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and providing clinical oversight. In the absence of the Director of Nursing, they will assume operational responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Captures and implements plans for resident care that align with medical orders, legal requirements, and facility policies.
- Communicates and explains policies and procedures to nursing staff and oversees their execution.
- Involves in admission decisions and visits prospective residents as necessary.
- Takes part in daily and weekly management team meetings to address resident status, staffing, and issues.
- Ensures the provision of compassionate, high-quality care through effective supervision and service delivery.
Qualifications
- Current RN/LPN license in the state of practice.
- A degree from an accredited nursing school, preferably an associate or bachelor's degree.
- At least five years of experience in long-term or acute healthcare settings.
- At least two years of nursing supervisory experience.
