ADON Responsibilities
- Assist DON in managing clinical operations of the nursing department.
- Develop nursing programs to ensure quality patient services.
- Plan and assign workload to nursing staff on shift basis.
- Supervise and guide nursing staff on their daily job duties.
- Ensure nursing staff follow department procedures and policies.
- Address patient complaints promptly to ensure patient satisfaction.
- Ensure that nursing staff perform assigned duties accurately and timely.
- Provide job training to nursing staff to meet department goals.
- Ensure that nursing programs comply with federal, state and local standards.
ADON Requirements
- Must have graduated from an accredited school of nursing and have a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state employed.
- Previous experience as an Assistant Director of Nursing and experience in working with geriatric residents is preferred.
- Successful completion of a training and competency evaluation program required.
- Completion of orientation required by company policy.
- Must be free of criminal activity proven by a criminal background check.
- Show within three (3) days of hire satisfactory evidence of identity and eligibility for employment.
