Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)

Key Responsibilities

• Aid the Director of Nursing in overseeing and managing daily nursing operations
• Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations
• Promote and maintain the highest standards of resident-centered care
• Support infection control oversight and regulatory readiness
• Plan, organize, and conduct staff training programs and clinical in-services
• Maintain effective communication across all levels of nursing staff
• Ensure appropriate staffing levels to meet resident care needs
• Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and retention initiatives
• Oversee staff competency evaluations and implement corrective action plans when necessary

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New Jersey
• Required: Five (5) years of progressively responsible nursing experience in a clinical setting
• Preferred: Three (3) years of supervisory experience in a long-term care or sub-acute setting
• PCC certification
• Infection Prevention (IP) experience a plus
