Assistant Director for Training, Development & Belonging (CS26-018)
The Assistant Director for Training, Development & Belonging (CS26-018) is a member of the Morris University Center (MUC) administrative team. This individual is responsible for signature MUC programming, day-to-day building management, human resources functions for the UC, staff development and training, and overall assessment efforts for the MUC.

Responsibilities
- Signature MUC programming
- Day-to-day building management impacting student and guest facing operations such as the Welcome Desk
- Management of human resources functions for the UC
- Staff development and training for both students and full-time staff
- Overall assessment efforts for the MUC
Minimum Acceptable Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- A total of one (1) year (12 months) in education, training and/or work experience in the area of specialization inherent to the position.
- (Note: Master’s Degree in an area consistent with the duties of the position may be substituted for one (1) year of work experience.)
- Bachelor's degree in human resources management, business or public administration, marketing, student personnel or related field
- 1+ year of college union/student center/student activities experience (concurrent with above minimum)
- Experience in event planning and management.
- Proven organizational and leadership skills.
- Commitment to customer service.
- Excellent communication and team building skills.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise personnel and provide guidance to professional and support staff.
- Must be available for variable hours during fall and spring semesters, occasional extended workdays, occasional weekends, and on-call emergencies.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ year of supervisory experience
- Program assessment experience and knowledge
- Programming experience in diversity, equity, and inclusion
