About the role

The Assistant Director for Online Undergraduate Programs and Clinical Assistant Professor of Nursing is a 12-month faculty position responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating online undergraduate programs in the Eleanor Mann School of Nursing (EMSON).

Responsibilities

  • Provides forward-thinking leadership in planning, implementing, and evaluating online undergraduate programs.
  • Aids in the development, implementation, and ongoing assessment of online LPN-BSN and RN-BSN program initiatives.
  • Serves as the first line of administrative contact for escalated student concerns within the online undergraduate programs.
  • Supports online undergraduate faculty and assists with course assignments.
  • Supports the program in maintaining compliance with accrediting and regulatory bodies.
  • Oversees monthly academic program committee meetings and brings forward issues to the EMSON faculty for review and approval.
  • Reports to the Executive Director of EMSON.
  • Requires consistent on-campus presence and active in-person engagement in departmental and college life.

Requirements

  • An earned doctorate from a nationally recognized and accredited institution of higher education conferred by the start of employment.
  • A strong unencumbered Arkansas registered nurse (RN) license or eligibility for State of Arkansas licensure.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collegially with students, staff, and faculty.
  • At least five years of professional nursing experience.
  • At least two years of nursing education experience.

Qualifications

  • Minimum qualifications: Earned doctorate, unencumbered Arkansas RN license, strong communication skills, demonstrated leadership, at least five years of professional nursing experience, at least two years of nursing education experience.
  • Preferred qualifications: Leadership roles, relationships with community partners and school of nursing stakeholders.
