About the role
The Assistant Director for Online Undergraduate Programs and Clinical Assistant Professor of Nursing is a 12-month faculty position responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating online undergraduate programs in the Eleanor Mann School of Nursing (EMSON).
Responsibilities
- Provides forward-thinking leadership in planning, implementing, and evaluating online undergraduate programs.
- Aids in the development, implementation, and ongoing assessment of online LPN-BSN and RN-BSN program initiatives.
- Serves as the first line of administrative contact for escalated student concerns within the online undergraduate programs.
- Supports online undergraduate faculty and assists with course assignments.
- Supports the program in maintaining compliance with accrediting and regulatory bodies.
- Oversees monthly academic program committee meetings and brings forward issues to the EMSON faculty for review and approval.
- Reports to the Executive Director of EMSON.
- Requires consistent on-campus presence and active in-person engagement in departmental and college life.
Requirements
- An earned doctorate from a nationally recognized and accredited institution of higher education conferred by the start of employment.
- A strong unencumbered Arkansas registered nurse (RN) license or eligibility for State of Arkansas licensure.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collegially with students, staff, and faculty.
- At least five years of professional nursing experience.
- At least two years of nursing education experience.
Qualifications
- Minimum qualifications: Earned doctorate, unencumbered Arkansas RN license, strong communication skills, demonstrated leadership, at least five years of professional nursing experience, at least two years of nursing education experience.
- Preferred qualifications: Leadership roles, relationships with community partners and school of nursing stakeholders.
