Minimum Qualifications
- Master of Social Work (MSW) from a CSWE accredited institution
- PhD in Social Work or Doctorate in Social Work
- 2 years post‑MSW social work practitioner experience in the field of social work
- 2‑year teaching experience in social work education full‑time or part‑time in asynchronous programs
Preferred Qualifications
- PhD in Social Work
- 2 or more years of experience in social work education, teaching asynchronously and synchronously
- Practice experience within one or more of the following areas:
- Research methods
- Medical/hospital social work
- Community health
- Behavioral health and integrated systems
- Program evaluation and management
- Policy and advocacy work
- Demonstrated experience in online curriculum development and instructional design
- Experience in academic advising and student support services
- Experience with online learning management systems, education platforms and technologies
- Experience with online pedagogy and tools
- Content expertise in generalist or specialized courses including but not limited to:
- Research methods
- Health and social welfare policy and advocacy
- Research and evaluation
- Healthcare‑focused social work practice
- Behavioral health‑focused social work practice
- Social work within health and aging
- School‑based social work practice
- Trauma‑informed practice
- Substance use assessment and treatment
- Experience and sensitivity in working with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures
- Demonstrated experience in advancing social justice, equity, and inclusion in a university setting
- Ability to engage and integrate culturally responsive practices and knowledge in their work
