About the role

Del Amo Behavioral Health System, a subsidiary of UHS, offers a safe and compassionate environment for individuals looking for hope and healing from emotional, psychiatric and addiction issues. Located just 7-miles from the beach, Del Amo Behavioral Health offers a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services, and several specialty programs. We serve ages 5 and up and have six units for a capacity of 166-beds. Responsibilities

• Develops department goals, objectives, standards of performance, policies and procedures, and organizes the department in accordance with administrative guidelines.
• Functions in an advisory capacity to administration in evaluating proposed procedural changes as they relate to patient care.
• Directs the implementation and ensures compliance with the Standard of Nursing Practice and regulatory compliance that promotes optimum health care delivery.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license in the state of CA.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited nursing program required.
• Three or more years of progressive nursing management experience required.
• Experience as a Registered Nurse in a psychiatric setting preferred.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of behavioral health nursing clinical practices and management.
• Extensive knowledge of principles and practices relevant to nursing and patient care activities.
• Demonstrated knowledge of effective management and supervisory practices.
• Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
