Assistant Clinical Resource Manager - Emergency Room

About the role

This position is responsible for patient care coordination on designated shift in assigned department with collaboration with the supervisor or manager. To insure quality patient care consistent with the philosophy and objectives of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct operational support for the unit on a shift basis
• Acts as a clinical resource person for the staff
• Acts as a liaison between staff and management, assisting the manager in determining staffing needs and identifying problems the designated unit
• Provides the communication link between manager, supervisor, staff, patients, physicians and others
• Serves as a resource to staff for patient care assessment and in the planning of nursing interventions
• Facilitates problem resolution and collaborates with the manager in assessing quality of care provided, identifying staff strengths and weaknesses, and in evaluation of staff performance
• Identifies operational issues and works to take action and correct problems
• Interfaces with physicians and interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive care planning
• Serves as an administrative support for Managers, performing clerical, receptionist, scheduling and purchasing activities
• Coordinates publications, large group meetings and proficient in various software packages
• Must have excellent interpersonal skills, able to handle multiple tasks and coordinate multiple requests while maintaining a positive customer service approach
• Must demonstrate good telephone skills and be able to assist others in a courteous manner, following up on the caller’s needs
• Performs various off-unit activities and attends staff meetings
• Performs administrative support to the Clinical Resource Manager
• Performs various chart audits focusing on quality improvements in the Emergency Department

Qualifications

• 2-years Associate License/Certification
• Current OK RN License
• BLS
• ACLS
• Experience: 1-3 years
