Assistant Chief of Emergency Medicine
Job Summary
HCA Florida Highlands Hospital is seeking an Assistant Chief of Emergency Medicine to lead their Emergency Medicine team in Sebring, Florida.
About the Role
Qualified candidates must be board certified or board eligible in Emergency Medicine through ABEM or AOBEM, or have three continuous years of current Emergency Medicine experience. Successful leadership experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Emergency Medicine team in Sebring, Florida
- Manage the Emergency Department with 27,000 annual ED volume
- Oversee a 13-bed ED with 12 fast-track treatment chairs
- Provide single physician coverage from 6A-6pP and 6P-6A, averaging 12 hours per day
- Coordinate with 12 hours of APP coverage
- Work in a hospital with 126 licensed beds, 16-bed ICU, 5 ORs, a robotic surgery suite, and a cath lab
- Participate in key services including women's care, cardiology, gastroenterology, orthopedics, urology, and vascular surgery
- Contribute to a community recognized for excellence in hip fracture treatment, spinal fusion surgery, stroke, and gallbladder removal surgery
Requirements
Board certification or board eligibility in Emergency Medicine through ABEM or AOBEM, or three continuous years of current Emergency Medicine experience.
Qualifications
Successful leadership experience is preferred.
