The Division of Management & International Business at the University of Oklahoma, Price College of Business is pleased to announce a tenure-track position in Organizational Behavior at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor.

About the Role

The candidate must have an earned doctorate in a relevant field. Evidence of high-level scholarly contributions, or the potential to create such contributions, to a relevant literature is required. We are particularly interested in applicants who may have an interest in teaching negotiations and leadership. Candidates must be committed to excellence in research and teaching, to collegiality, and to fulfilling the mission of the Price College (https://www.ou.edu/price).

This position offers a competitive salary along with research and travel support. Teaching responsibilities may include in-person or online undergraduate courses and/or courses in our MBA program, which has various formats, including online and in-person at our 27,000 square-foot flagship facility for the Gene Rainbolt Graduate School of Business in Oklahoma City (https://www.ou.edu/price/mba).

Responsibilities

  • Conduct high-level scholarly research in Organizational Behavior
  • Teach undergraduate and/or MBA courses (in-person or online), with potential focus on negotiations and leadership
  • Collaborate with Division faculty and contribute to the academic mission of the Price College

Requirements

  • Earned doctorate in management or related field
  • Research record, teaching experience, and qualifications commensurate with the Assistant/Associate Professor level

Preferred Qualifications

  • Interest and expertise in teaching leadership and negotiations
  • Ability to collaborate with Division faculty
  • Record of teaching success

About the Division

The Division of Management & International Business in the Michael F. Price College of Business is composed of faculty with interests in organizational behavior, human resource management, international business, strategic management, sports business, leadership, and legal studies. The division offers:

  • Undergraduate degrees in Management, Energy Management, International Business, and Sports Business
  • Certificates in Leadership, Legal Studies, and Human Resource Management
  • Required courses for multiple master’s programs
  • Ph.D. concentrations in Organizational Behavior and Strategic Management

The division currently has 25 full-time faculty members, including prominent scholars whose work appears in premier outlets such as the Academy of Management Annals, Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of International Business Studies, and Strategic Management Journal. Several faculty also hold major editorial roles in these and other top-tier journals.

The University of Oklahoma is located in Norman, Oklahoma, a vibrant community of approximately 130,000 residents with a low cost of living. The campus features:
