About the role

The Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, invites applications for Assistant/Associate Professor of Family and Community Medicine.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in an academic setting.
• Contribute to the education and development of future healthcare professionals.
• Mentor residents and medical students in a collegial and flexible environment.
• Participate in a dynamic academic learning climate focused on clinical and medical education excellence.
• Engage in research and scholarly activities as part of the department's evidence-based didactic tradition.
• Provide care to more than 10,000 patients per month across 17 primary care and specialty care clinics and partner hospitals.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree.
• American Board of Family Medicine certification or completion of certification within two years of residency completion.
• Completion of a Family Medicine Residency Program from an ACGME-accredited institution.
• Eligibility for an unrestricted Nevada medical, pharmacy, and DEA licenses.
• Malpractice coverage.
• Ability to obtain privileges at University Medical Center and other site locations as needed.
• Credentials must be obtained prior to employment.
