About the role
The Administrative Assistant II provides administrative and implementation support for designated grant- and contract-funded programs/projects within the Family and Community Medicine department at the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine.
Responsibilities
- Communicate and coordinate with external entities
- Prepare itineraries and meeting agendas
- Schedule appointments
- Prepare clinical files or training materials
- Maintain multiple databases, including data collection and entry
- Gather and compile statistics
- Participate in outreach and program trainings, which may include travel
- Ensure compliance with university, local, state, and federal rules regarding responsible conduct of research
- Perform other various duties as assigned
Requirements
- Graduation from high school or equivalent education
- Two years of clerical and administrative support experience, including experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Maintaining records and files
- Preparing materials using a personal computer or word processor
- Assisting customers in completing forms and applications
- Performing secretarial duties in support of professional staff
- OR one year of experience as an Administrative Assistant I in Nevada State service
- OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above

Pay
Grade 25 Step 1, salary $42,636.96. "Step" refers to the number assigned by the Division of Human Resource Management to identify a specific rate of pay within a grade. Per Nevada Administrative Code (NAC 284.170), salaries for initial appointments for classified positions typically begin at Step 1.
