Responsible for providing assistance to the Asset Protection Safety Manager at a Navy Exchange (126+M Sales Volume).

Responsibilities

• Assists the Asset Protection/Safety Manager in providing staff assistance to management for planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating AP programs (Safety, Physical Security, MHE, ATFP, Operational Review).
• Recommends and assists in implementing modifications to AP, safety, and Total Loss programs to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Drives, assigns, and assists with theft investigations, suspected unethical conduct, accident investigations, workplace violence, or other assigned duties; may include oversight of overnight surveillance, covert camera installations, investigations, and interviewing of dishonest associates, vendors, and contractors.
• Prepares and ensures investigation results are documented professionally in reports per departmental standards.
• Serves as a collateral duty safety supervisor to provide a safe and secure working and shopping environment for associates and patrons.
• Assists in administering the Navy Occupational Safety and Health and Fire Prevention Program to ensure adherence with Department of Navy safety codes and standards.
• Ensures safety training, MHE training, APS awareness programs, Safety Committees, Risk Management Information (RMI), and other APS programs are implemented as assigned.
• Assists in the development and supervision of asset protection/safety staff, ensuring adherence to APS policies and procedures.
