Assessment Specialist, PRN

About the role

Copper Springs East is operated jointly with Lifepoint Health and prioritizes your well-being to support exceptional care. As an Assessment Specialist, you'll contribute to providing superior patient care that meets and exceeds industry standards and patient expectations.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates response to a request for services, including the initial response, assessment, and referral process, designation of appropriate level of care, admission into services, and appropriate follow-up activity
• Conducts initial evaluation, initiates the assessment, documents patient symptomology, functioning, and needs, and provides information to MD for LOC determination
• Demonstrates excellent customer service skills in assisting patients, physicians, visitors, and coworkers in a prompt and courteous manner
• Maintains all preadmission and admission paperwork with accuracy, and completes all pre-certification with insurance companies
• Possesses clear knowledge of Emergency Detention paperwork and processes and EMTALA

Requirements

• Education: Master's degree in Social Work, Counselor, or Associate's Degree in Nursing
• Experience: Experience in a Hospital Setting
• Licenses: Current LCSW, LMFT, LPC, LAC, ASW, LPCC, OR RN
• Certifications: CPR certification required
