Assessment Specialist, PRN

About the role

As an Assessment Specialist at Columbus Springs Dublin, you'll play a crucial role in facilitating responses to requests for services, conducting initial evaluations, and providing essential documentation to support medical decisions.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate the response to requests for services, including initial assessments, referrals, and appropriate level of care designations.
• Conduct initial evaluations, initiate assessments, document patient symptoms, functioning, and needs, and provide information to MDs for LOC determinations.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients, physicians, visitors, and coworkers, ensuring prompt and courteous interactions.
• Demonstrate knowledge of Emergency Detention paperwork and processes, as well as understanding of EMTALA guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in Nursing or Master's in Social Work/Counseling.
• Prior experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility, preferably with adult and geriatric patients.
• Current clinical, social work, or RN license in the state of Ohio.
• Strong clinical assessment skills.
• CPR and CPI certification within 30 days of employment.

Qualifications

• Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations.
