Assembly Team Lead

About the role

The Lead Person's primary job function is to oversee staff regarding safety and quality production within a work cell or department. This position will be supervising for up to 30 positions and will report directly to the department Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Observing the workflow while adjusting machinery, staff and materials as needed.
• Assigning staff to different work cells and delegating tasks according to production plan.
• Providing quality inspection of materials received into department and parts produced within department.
• Training and assisting Assembly Workers.
• Communicating with supervisor any issues that would pertain to safety and/or the quality of production.
• Prioritizing tasks based on production requirements, materials available, and staffing to complete work and maintain efficiency.
• Meeting production requirements and contending with several variables such as staff and materials that could interrupt workflow.
• Performing other job-related duties as assigned.
• Consistently delivering the best in customer service.
• Demonstrating respect, dignity, kindness, and empathy in each encounter with customers, visitors, and other employees.
• Championing AWC's mission, vision, and values; complying with the policies and procedures, ethical standards and code of conduct set forth by the company.

Requirements

• Ability to lift to 35 lbs.
• Ability to commute to Hamlet, NC 28345 (required).
