Assembly Team Lead

About the role

Parker Hannifin’s Quick Coupling Division is seeking an Assembly Team Lead to support daily assembly operations. This role involves guiding team members, providing training, and ensuring work is completed safely, accurately, and efficiently while maintaining quality standards, addressing production issues, and supporting continuous improvement. Quick couplings provide fast, make-or-break connections for fluid or gas transfer lines, serving industries such as Agriculture, Construction, and Data Processing.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Supervisor in providing support and direction with daily operations.
• Train team members on assembly operations and documentation (e.g., set-ups, day-by-the-hour).
• Maintain the current copy of the Training Matrix for all team members.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities using problem-solving tools (e.g., A3, 3-legged 5 Why).
• Ensure quality standards are met and investigate non-conformances.
• Develop and deploy standardized work.
• Promote and enforce compliance with safety policies and procedures; assist with safety incident investigations.
• Advocate and support the Corporate WIN Strategy.
• Assist Supervisors with employee reviews.
• Report daily on production attainment shortfalls.
• Understand, interpret, and train team members on the usage of Team Improvement Boards.
• Perform daily/weekly standard work audits within each cell.
• Assist Supervisor in adjusting manpower requirements to accommodate unscheduled absences, including overtime.
• Lead team improvement activities with support from supervisor and plant management.
• Assist supervisor in other administrative tasks as required.
• Serve as the liaison between Machinists, Secondary Ops, Assemblers, and support teams (Engineering, Maintenance, Production Planning).
• Act as the go-to person for Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery issues throughout the operation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of assembly experience preferred.
• 2 years of previous supervisory/leadership experience preferred.
• Willingness to attend job-related continuous education.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Able to effectively work with people in a team environment.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Pay

Starting hourly wage: $25.11 (plus $2.00 shift differential and lead pay).

Schedule

• Five (5) 8-hour shifts: Monday through Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM.
