Assembly Operator - 1st shift - Direct Hire
About the role

We are looking for entry-level and skilled Assembly Operators on 1st shift to perform a variety of duties involved in assembly, packaging, and paint preparation.
Responsibilities
- Work individually or as part of a team to assemble, fill, kit, prepare, label, and/or package an entire product or component of a product according to Work Instructions.
- Complete work based on specifications, drawings, job routings, and/or Work Instructions.
- Select and move production materials as required.
- Maintain equipment and materials necessary to complete the operation.
- Meet established safety, quality, and performance standards to ensure production schedules are met.
- Record accurate information on Manufacturing Order and perform transactions necessary to maintain accurate records and inventory balances.
- Comply with all applicable safety procedures, quality specifications, and 5S Standards.
- Report adverse conditions, non-conforming products/procedures, and 5S violations to department leader in accordance with escalation procedure.
- Adhere to department 5S standards daily and maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Notify team leader or other appropriate resource when problems arise concerning safety, quality, equipment, operations, materials, inventory, or documentation.
- Demonstrate flexibility by performing rotational assignments as needed.
- Participate actively as a team member through continuous improvement activities to meet customer needs.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED (preferred).
- Knowledge in use of scales (preferred).
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes (preferred).
- Experience following work instructions or reading blueprints (preferred).
- Experience in assembling mechanical parts into a finished product (preferred).
- Experience in using hand and power tools (preferred).
- Prior experience working in a light industrial facility (preferred).
Pay
Starting hourly pay is up to $20.75+ with overtime opportunities. nVent’s pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee’s work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance.
Compensation Range: $14.80 - $27.50 per hour. Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
