About the role

2nd Shift, 2pm - 10pm

Pay

$20.22 base pay plus $2.00 lead premium and $2.00 shift differential, for a total of $24.22 per hour.

Responsibilities

  • Estimates, requisitions, and inspects materials to meet production goals.
  • Examines items produced to determine if items meet specifications.
  • Interprets company policies to workers and enforces policies and safety regulations.
  • Interprets specifications, drawings, and job orders to subordinates, and assigns duties.
  • Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
  • Checks inventory to ascertain that all necessary parts and quantities are available; confers with purchasing department when necessary.
  • Identifies and applies Lean methodologies to improve production methods, tools and equipment maintenance, inventory, and product quality.
  • Meets production quotas and maintains quality standards.
  • Trains new employees.
  • Maintains thorough knowledge of activities of workers supervised.
  • Maintains a clean and safe working environment in accordance with 5S standards.
  • Leads 3 Tier meetings with employees.
  • Follows written standard work, develops standard work, and maintains it.
  • Updates production boards hourly.
  • Assists in driving the job rotation program.
  • May provide input on performance appraisals, rewarding, disciplinary actions, addressing complaints, and resolving problems for employees in the group.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Requires 18 months of on-the-job experience (or supervisor’s discretion).
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, blueprints, production work orders, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to complete paperwork and correspondence.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage.
