About the role
2nd Shift, 2pm - 10pm
Pay
$20.22 base pay plus $2.00 lead premium and $2.00 shift differential, for a total of $24.22 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Estimates, requisitions, and inspects materials to meet production goals.
- Examines items produced to determine if items meet specifications.
- Interprets company policies to workers and enforces policies and safety regulations.
- Interprets specifications, drawings, and job orders to subordinates, and assigns duties.
- Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
- Checks inventory to ascertain that all necessary parts and quantities are available; confers with purchasing department when necessary.
- Identifies and applies Lean methodologies to improve production methods, tools and equipment maintenance, inventory, and product quality.
- Meets production quotas and maintains quality standards.
- Trains new employees.
- Maintains thorough knowledge of activities of workers supervised.
- Maintains a clean and safe working environment in accordance with 5S standards.
- Leads 3 Tier meetings with employees.
- Follows written standard work, develops standard work, and maintains it.
- Updates production boards hourly.
- Assists in driving the job rotation program.
- May provide input on performance appraisals, rewarding, disciplinary actions, addressing complaints, and resolving problems for employees in the group.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Requires 18 months of on-the-job experience (or supervisor’s discretion).
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, blueprints, production work orders, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to complete paperwork and correspondence.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage.
