Assembly Lead - 2nd Shift

About the Role

Responsible for assembling customer product according to specific instruction, building or repairing all types, sizes, and shapes of cases, jigs, fixtures, and tools.

Responsibilities

• Assembly of metal cases including insertion of rivets, brackets, and miscellaneous hardware.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and documentation.
• Testing, inspection, and packaging of product.
• Metal finishing, prototype running, and other metal case production work.
• Train others in similar roles once competency is demonstrated.
• Fill in for Cell Leaders as needed.
• Provide guidance to personnel assigned to cell to ensure production needs are met.
• Inspect product ensuring it complies with requirements at all stages and administer first piece checks.
• Engage with support teams to resolve any production-related issues.
• Troubleshoot problems/issues to meet production needs.
• Ensure all part counts reconcile and that all data entries in Visual match the production travelers before product is moved.
• Assist with scheduling and line manning.
• Support operator development, training, and skills matrix.
• Handle tooling, supply, and material requests.
• Demonstrate ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity, decision-making, work quality, and reduce costs.
• Identify appropriate AI use cases and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs.
• Communicate updates to all Cell Leaders and other leads within C&T, across all shifts.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED.
• 0-3 years of experience.
• Previous manufacturing experience using small hand tools preferred.

Skills

• Good hand and eye coordination.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Ability to use calipers and micrometers.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to be a team player.
• Well-versed with all work instructions pertaining to production areas in C&T.

Pay

Hourly position with a salary range of $40,000 to $45,000 USD per year.
