ASSEMBLER
POSITION SUMMARY
An Assembler is responsible for assembling parts with electrical, mechanical, and manual tools in a manner that will consistently meet production standards and quality requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Uses a wide variety of mechanical/manual tools and operating procedures to assemble large and small parts.
- Experience with building electrical boxes, cords and panel building.
- Performs required assembly operations, including adjusting, fitting, and aligning units/unit components to close tolerances and strict inspection standards.
- Continually monitors work quality and productivity throughout the assigned area. Reports problems to the Assembly Manager or Team Lead as appropriate.
- Performs deburring as requested.
- Able to use and read a voltmeter.
- Maintains records of processes and procedures used in the assembly of equipment. Records to include written and photographic documents.
- Reads and understands blueprints/schematics to ensure products are properly assembled to customer specifications.
- Works safely and complies with all established safety rules and work practices.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent.
- 2-4 years of related assembly experience on various types of equipment or machinery, including mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic assemblies.
- Ability to read blueprints and use measuring instruments.
- Good manual dexterity skills, hand-eye coordination, etc.
- Ability to maintain a high concentration level while doing repetitive work.
- Demonstrated ability to handle and lift varying weights up to 50 lbs. consecutively.
- Ability to work independently or with others.
- Displays a positive attitude and a strong desire to learn and grow.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Demonstrates initiative.

- Lift/Carry - 0-10 lbs. continuously, 11-50 lbs. frequently, 51-100 lbs. never
- Push/Pull - 0-25 lbs. continuously, 26-100 lbs. frequently
- Bend - 34-66% during a 10-hour shift.
- Twist/Turn - 34-66% during a 10-hour shift.
- Kneel/Squat - 0-33% during a 10-hour shift.
- Sit - 0-33% during a 10-hour shift.
- Stand/Walk - 67-100% during a 10-hour shift.
- Overhead Reaching - 0-33% during a 10-hour shift.
- Ladder/Stair Climb - 0-33% during a 10-hour shift.
Pay
The wage range for this role takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, certifications, as well as other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $25 to $35 hourly.
Schedule
- Day shift: work hours are 4/10 hour days, Monday-Thursday
- Night shift: work hours are 4/10 hour days, Monday-Thursday, 15% shift differential
- Weekend shift: work hours are 3/12 hour days, Friday-Sunday, 15% shift differential
