Assembler 1, General - Urgent Need M - F, 8am - 4pm

About the role

This position involves clearing blocked stock by performing visual inspections of parts, packages, and label content, as well as some functional testing of parts to determine acceptability. Work includes relabeling of packages, repacking materials into shelf cartons or case cartons, and other manual work. Performs any combination of tasks involved in the fabrication, manufacture, assembly, testing and packaging of medical devices as well as setting up, operating, performing maintenance on and troubleshooting equipment. May conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications. Works within clearly defined SOPs and/or scientific methods and adheres to quality guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspections of parts, packages, and label content
• Conduct functional testing of parts to determine acceptability

• Perform other manual work as assigned
• Set up, operate, perform maintenance on, and troubleshoot equipment
• Conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications
• Work within clearly defined SOPs and/or scientific methods and adhere to quality guidelines

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Zero (0) to one (1) year of manufacturing assembly experience
• Effective communication skills at a level co-workers and Team Lead/Supervisor can understand
• Ability to read, write, interpret and comprehend specifications written in English
• Ability to perform basic math calculations
• Ability to use basic tools of measurement, such as microscopes
• Must be able to work flexible and/or extended hours and report to work on a regular, punctual basis
• Has good attention to detail
• Ability to get along with people and be able to work in a team environment
• Willingness to rotate into different tasks and responsibilities

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time
• Occasionally required to lift or move at least 50 pounds

Pay & Schedule

• Pay rate: $15.50/hour
• Shift: Monday - Friday, 8am - 4pm
• Possible work on Saturdays depending upon business need
• Eye exam required
• Background check required (candidate can start while background check is pending)
• Drug screening not required
