About the role

Elara Caring Hospice is currently looking for various volunteer positions to support patients and their families during their end-of-life journey.

Responsibilities

• Share your gift of time with a hospice patient
• Provide exceptional end-of-life care to local hospice patients and their families
• Offer companionship, listening ears, and an open heart
• Volunteer in various capacities including Companion Volunteers, Pet Therapy, Veteran Volunteers, Office Volunteers, and Crafting Volunteers

Requirements

• No special skills are necessary
• A listening ear and an open heart are required
• Flexible availability to meet the needs of patients and families in Grand Rapids, Muskegon, Wayland/Hastings, Greenville, Rockford, Holland, and Saugatuck/Douglas

Qualifications

• Compassionate and caring individuals
• Willing to commit to regular volunteering hours
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team

• Emotional support
• Artistic abilities (for Crafting Volunteers)
