About the role
Elara Caring Hospice is currently looking for volunteers to share their time and gifts with hospice patients. They are in need of volunteers in various roles including Companion Volunteers, Pet Therapy, Veteran Volunteers, Office Volunteers, and Crafting Volunteers.
Responsibilities
- Listen to and support hospice patients and their families during their end-of-life journey.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to patients and their families.
- Engage in activities that bring comfort and joy to patients and their loved ones.
Requirements
- No special skills are required.
- An open heart and willingness to listen are essential.
- Flexible availability to accommodate patient needs.
Qualifications
- Compassion and empathy towards others.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding patient information.
- Good communication skills.
