Hospice Music Therapist

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provides professional, approved therapeutic modalities to patients within scope of practice and agency policy.
  • Example of therapeutic modalities: Music practitioners, Reiki, Healing Touch, Acupuncture, Aroma Therapy, Hypnotherapy, etc.
  • Knowledge of hospice and end-of-life care
  • Caregiving interaction with patients and families
  • Assists with hospice program and/or patient/family
  • Inputs to plan of care and interdisciplinary meetings
  • Communicates availability and schedule changes
  • Accurately documents services
  • Maintains patient confidentiality
  • Reports observed changes in patient status
  • Attends at least four in-services per year
  • Completes mandatory training
  • Maintains licensure, certification, and liability coverage

Required Qualifications

  • Completion of C-IHS Training Program
  • 6+ months of hospice or related experience
  • Driver’s License and access to a reliable transportation

Preferred Qualification

  • Current CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire
  • 1+ years of experience in designated modality

Pay and Benefits

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).

The hourly pay for this role will range from $25.85 to $38.75 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
