About the role

Elara Caring Hospice is currently looking for volunteers to share their gift of time with hospice patients on their end-of-life journey. No special skills are necessary, just a listening ear and an open heart.

Responsibilities

• Listen to and support hospice patients and their families
• Offer companionship and emotional support
• Engage in activities that bring comfort and joy to patients

Requirements

• Willingness to commit to a minimum of 2 hours per week
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and families
• Passionate about providing compassionate care

Qualifications

• No special skills required
• Open to various volunteer roles including Companion Volunteers, Pet Therapy, Veteran Volunteers, Office Volunteers, and Crafting Volunteers
• Available to serve in outlying areas such as Grand Rapids, Muskegon, Wayland/Hastings, Greenville, Rockford, Holland, and Saugatuck/Douglas
