Armed Security Officer - Retail Center

About the Role

Allied Universal is seeking a Part‑Time Armed Security Officer for Retail Center Patrol in San Antonio, TX. The position involves safeguarding retail and mall environments, conducting vehicle and foot patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and delivering outstanding customer service. This role requires a valid driver’s license and a Texas Level III Armed Certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and visitors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, escalating concerns according to established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout retail sales areas, receiving areas, parking lots, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation while maintaining a professional presence at the location.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver‑policy requirements.
• Level III Armed Guard Card in Texas.
• At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of a background investigation in compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screening as permitted by law.
• Participation in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment, subject to state and/or local regulations.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Pay

$15.50 per hour

Schedule

Daytime shifts: Tuesday 07:00 AM – 03:15 PM; Wednesday 03:15 PM – 11:30 PM
