Armed Security Officer - Retail Setting

About the role

Join Allied Universal at a premier financial institution location as an Armed Patrol Officer, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. In this dynamic role, you will support daily operations with agility, reliability, and integrity while working as part of a team that puts people first.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
• Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with local leadership and/or first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility, access points, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and high-traffic spaces, verifying access permissions and reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or policy violations through proper channels.
• Support cash handling and other sensitive operations with a visible armed presence when assigned, following post orders and maintaining professionalism during daily interactions and elevated situations.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.

Pay

$24.00 / Hour

Schedule

• Wednesday: 08:30 AM - 05:30 PM
• Friday: 08:30 AM - 05:30 PM
• Saturday: 08:30 AM - 02:30 PM
